Charismatic, outspoken and impossible to categorise, she is one of Britain’s iconic household names – an award-winning rock legend as well as a much-loved stage/screen actress and music composer.
To this day music runs through her veins and Toyah’s annual concert diary is packed with summer festivals, acoustic shows and electric gigs with her full band, Her transatlantic rock band Toyah & The Humans featuring Bill Rieflin (King Crimson, REM) & Chris Wong have released three albums.
The most recent, Strange Tales was supported with US and UK concert dates and their track Get In Your Car will be covered and released as a single by King Crimson in 2017.
Toyah’s most recent musical collaborations include vocals on the Dodson & Fogg track, Drinking From The Gun and the duet Nine Hours with Peter Coyle (Lotus Eaters).
2016 saw Toyah’s first musical as co-composer open in the open air London Gods & Monsters production of Dostoyevsky’s Crime & Punishment, 2017 sees work continuing on the production being developed into a film with Toyah taking a role and adding newly written music.
